Oh My!! My Michael is so funny! We had just had our family home evening about Martin Luther King Jr. We talked about segregation, and Everyone created equal and all of the wonderful things Martin Luther King did for us. So, to go with that theme, of different flavors... We had a banana split with 4 different types of ice cream. While eating the ice cream, I turned on the "I have a dream" speech. While listening to it, Michael says, Martin Luther King had funny dreams! Just because he kept saying "I had a dream in his speech", over and over again. We giggled so much!
Also, another funny story, We were driving to church, and Michael was saying something to Chris, and Chris said, yeah Michael, You make a good point. Then, Michael pointed to himself and said, Like this dad?
You might not find these stories very funny, BUT I DO! So, make sure you are polite!

BIRTHDAY MONTH!!
I love April. Mainly because it comes after March. March was tough. We got through it together, and now I am on the up and up. I have been cooped up in my house the last two weeks, with Stephen having a high fever last week, for 6 days, and then Michael waking up on Monday morning with a high fever as well. So, we have been avoiding everyone. I usually spend around 500$ in Gas.. You read that right. This month, I think it will be a better month, since I haven't gone anywhere within these last two weeks. Last month we went to Utah to visit the family.
Yeah, obviously, I don't post a bunch of stuff.. So, it's a new year, so let's try better!~ These were just in my inbox needing to be posted.. So I posted them, but they are not complete thoughts. Good luck following along.

Thoughts of the day
Today was a great day. Yesterday, was a bad day. I ended yesterday with a prayer and reading the scriptures to help me get out of my bad day. Today, I made a goal to not yell at my children. For they are my blessings. My blessings that I love, and that I appreciate. I need to show them that more. I need to breathe more, so that they know that love and peace is what I am made of. So, today, was great. I didn't yell at the boys, and here is the shocker, THEY DIDN'T yell at me! How about that? I have thoughts about how blessed I was today. First, we have some tough stuff going on and I was able to keep tackling it, with out getting overwhelmed. I knew just use the 3 hours I had allocated to the tasks, and it was easy not to get crazy. I heard from Chris at Scout Camp today. He sounds great. He works so hard with his business, and with his calling. I then got to see a great friend today, who made me laugh. Then I went to Target. Target is a tough place for me. I try to go to Target to get rid of Walmart... Well, at least to help Target out. Today, we walked into Target, and we met Veronica. Veronica is.."An old lady, who didn't have any kids, whose husband died 24 years ago.
I am now finishing this post only a few months later... I believe I started this post in June. Crazy!! How about this! I don't remember the rest of the story about Veronica, but I am sure it will come to me. She was a delightful lady who had a cart full of groceries, and then was going to walk home. So, we put her in my truck, and took her to her house. The boys were very nice to her, but wanted to know why she didn't have a husband, or any kids, and why she had an accent, and if she believed in Jesus... Yep. My kids. They rock!
This picture is of the boys, the Day of NOELLE'S birthday. They were so excited to take this picture, can't you tell?

March. Enough said.
Please go on a journey with me. I am working on some emotions, and I need to get them out. March 8, 2005. Stephen Dumm enters the world. Crazy as ever, but he will be 7 next Thursday. March 18, 2008. Michael comes into this world. We literally prayed, and knew he would be born that day. March 15, 2010. We deliver Hope. Hope returns to her Father in Heaven. March 3, 2011. We deliver Matthew. Matthew returns to his Father in Heaven. March 2012? Focus on the good that has come out of March. Are we going to have anymore kids? Wait for next March. Because if we do, there is no messing with the month of March. Tomorrow, will mark 1 year from when we lost our precious little Matthew. I was talking to Chris earlier, and I am a little bummed at where I am at in my life. What has changed this past year? My weight is pretty much still the same. The sadness is still there, but in a healthier way. The crappy part is, my mind keeps wandering to what I have lost in the Month of March. We have a little joke in our family, that Chris' bad month is August. My bad month is March. We will see how we do this March. I am already struggling. I feel like I am in a funk. A sad funk. I work through it, but it is still there. I pretty much want to sleep away the funk. But, alas, Phineas and Ferb only last so long, and Mulan can only be played once a day. Those are the boys' favorite movies. I have a lot of goals this month. I hope I can keep them. I get to see my family in a couple of weeks! So excited for that! We have been preparing, and that might be why I am in a funk. I get into these modes where I seriously long for my family to be closer. This is why everyone needs to buy Web cam's so that we can Skype! Theme for this month, is Count my blessings. If you have a chance to read I know that My redeemer lives, please do. It helped me a lot during the difficult times.
His hands. His mighty Hands
Today, I want to share with you the most awesome experience. I could have killed a person today. Unintentionally. I know with out a doubt that our Heavenly Father is watching over us. All of us, everyday. And today, he was seriously watching over me. Let me back track a second...
Yesterday, being Monday, I was out hammering in some Shepherd hooks into my front yard. It wasn't a real hammer, and it wasn't a sledge hammer, and it wasn't a mallet. It was all of those things combined. That's what I was using. This morning, I couldn't remember where I put the tool, but I thought nothing of it. I did my usual Tuesday routine. Take Stephen to the carpool spot, come home, leave again to take Michael to preschool. This consists of me getting on the freeway, traveling 70mph. Dropping Michael off at preschool, going to our old home in Roseville to finish cleaning it out. As I got out of my truck, I walked behind it, and I noticed, that right there.. RIGHT THERE!!... Was the tool that I was using yesterday!! I have this relationship with Heavenly Father, that i feel, is a unique one. I can imagine, that he is driving with me, with one hand on the back bumper, slowly shaking his head.. Saying.."Jenilyn, you don't need this in your life right now!" I don't know if you grasp the idea of what I am getting at. But, I could have killed someone! It could have bounced off the back of my bumper and into someones windshield. I could be in Jail for involuntary manslaughter.. Yeah. I am the criminal type.. Holy Cow! It scared me so bad, and also made me so extremely grateful. How has Heavenly Father held your hand lately?
